Indo-Nepal border

Five states of India, i.e. Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim touch the Nepalese border along with India. The border is a puncture that contains unrestricted movement of goods and people between India and Nepal.The main part of the India-Nepalese border runs in the East-West direction along the foothills of the Shivalik range.

Indo-Bhutan border

There is no border dispute between the peaceful border and the two countries.Indo-Pak borderIndo-Pak border is the result of partition of India under the Radcliffe Award in 1947, in which Sir Cyril Radcliffe was the President.Jammu and Kashmir, Sir Creek are the major disputed areas.

Indo-Bangladesh border

India's 4,096 km long border is the longest with Bangladesh.This limit has been fixed under the Radcliffe Award, which divides the eastern province of Bengal into two halves.

Indo-Myanmar border

This boundary runs along the watershed between Brahmaputra and Ayeyarwadi [Iravadi].It passes roughly wild areas along the Indian side of Mizo Hills, Manipur and Nagaland and Myanmar towards Chin Hills, Naga Hills and Kachin State.

Indo-Sri Lanka border

India and Sri Lanka have separated from each other by a narrow and shallow sea called Pal Straight.

Dhanushkodi on the Tamilnadu coast in India is only 32 km from Taleeman in Jaffna Peninsula in Sri Lanka. These two points are connected to a group of Adam's bridge-making islet.
